PROGRESS TO DATE:

• Footings and foundation work for Northeast Classroom Addition is well underway

• Footings and foundation work for Receiving and Tech Ed Addition has begun

• Removed old steam boilers and work on new boiler room is underway

• Installed new electrical transformer and gas meter

• Interior demolition work is also in progress at this builidng

Design work at John Muir has been extensive and is now 95% complete, with renderings and floor plans close to final. The Design Team continued its focus on creating future-ready, functional and inspirational spaces for students and staff.

To date there have been 30 user group meetings and the team has included the principal, maintenance staff, teachers, and staff in Special Education, Phy.Ed., Athletics, Science, Theater, Music, Front Office, Student Services, and IT.

The design work at John Muir is halfway through the process after weeks of design and user group meetings.

Design Meetings include the District Leadership Team and the Building Design Committee, while the User Group Meetings include Principals, Maintenance, Teachers, and focus areas.
